Here is where things got interesting. I took the shuttle to Hopi Point, recommended as a good vantage point for sunset shots, and set up my tripod, along with several other interesting photographers. I switched back and forth between the 100-400 and the 17-35 as the sun descended, creating different types of interesting lighting either spotlighting individual formations, or producing nice panoramic type shots. This was shot with the Canon 100-400 at 260 mm, ISO 100, f/22 at 1/30 second (tripod-mounted).
