Bryce Canyon National Park

Bryce's Natural Bridge

Not to be confused with the Rainbow Bridge at Lake Powell (to be included in my next gallery), Bryce Canyon has its own Natural Bridge. Quoting from the NPS Brochure, this Natural Bridge "was not formed by a stream as true natural bridges are. It is more accurately an arch, carved by the combined forces of rain and frost erosion acting from the top of the rock." Canon 17-35L at 26 mm, ISO 100, f/22, 1/10 second (tripod mounted).

There are other sights to see at Bryce, and we did some hiking in Fairylands as well. I have some decent shots there, but as the timing worked out, we were there mid-late morning, and the lighting really 'flattened' those images. But the experience and views were not diminished in any way.
