As we waited for the Scarlet Macaws to emerge from the trees, we saw quite a few Frigatebirds passing by, showing varying stages of breeding plumage. All of these flight shots were taken in mid-afternoon, with the sun not particularly low on the horizon, and not yet at a good angle to really light up the feathers on the underside of these dark-colored birds.
