Our driver spotted this mother/baby Three-toed Sloth shortly before a lunch stop, as we were traveling from Arenal to the Pacific. The adult is visible, but mostly obscured by branches and leaves, so I concentrated this image on the mostly visible baby. It was in deep shadows, and too far for the flash to reach, so bumped up ISO to obtain an adequate exposure. In retrospect I could probably have dropped shutter speed and lowered ISO for some shots, but it was very hot, and everybody was quite hungry and ready to eat!
