Land Iguanas have been imperiled in the past, due to consumption by man, and possibly other factors. There is significant research and breeding taking place at the Darwin Research Station, which we visited, and the specimen shown above is part of a population introduced to North Seymour as part of that research. I shot wide-open here to maximally blur the background in this image.
