I usually prefer to use the 2x teleconverter when the light is better, but needed to get a little tighter in, despite the poor lighting conditions. I bumped up the ISO to give me a fairly fast shutter speed, to optimize image quality given the focal length, and the boat's movement. I finally got a shot with good head positions of both mother and chick.
