This was taken much later in the day. The first part of the day saw a reasonable amount of sunshine, but by mid-afternoon, the skies were fairly dark, and the wind had picked up significantly. In fact, we thought some storms were heading our way, and that we might have to end our day early. It later cleared up, fortunately, but we did have several hours of fairly poor light. This shot was taken in those conditions. Keeping out of the wind, we explored some more sheletered back waters, and saw several Eastern Kingbirds. I was watching one when it suddenly took off, quickly grabbed a large bug in mid-air, and returned to its perch. I was able to get several shots before they were both gone.
