We took the drive up Signal Mountain, seeing Elk along the road, as well as this Grouse. I initially drove past it, barely catching it in the 'corner of my eye' as it was well camouflaged in its surroundings. I backed up the car, and shot out the window before it walked off where it could no longer be seen. Many thanks to James Christensen (PrimevalNature.com) for the identification!
