During a drive on the Firehole Canyon Drive, we came across several families of Adult and Juvenile Elk. They were in a valley fairly far below us, so the shooting angle wasn't optimal, but when several of them crossed the Firehole River, this vantage point was worthwhile. I have a long sequence of images as this individual crossed the river. It had to struggle a bit in the current at one point, as it was in over its head, but it safely made it to the other shore.
